About 3 or 4 years ago, a friend of mine, Alexa, asked me if I would paint "jungle animals" on her bedroom walls. I said yes. Alexa was 5 or 6 years old at the time. Finally, this weekend was the time to begin painting. Yes, after 3 or 4 years. First, her room needed to be painted jungle green. Then, we needed to decide what animals Alexa wanted and where. Next, I had to make time to draw the templates to make drawing the outlines on the walls simpler. After that, we had to coordinate schedules. So, like I said, this weekend was finally the time to begin painting....

Well, there are the first 3 animals. There are still an iguana, a scarlet macaw, and lioness with her cub, tree frogs, and a big tree. Plenty of fun still to come!
By the way, for as many colors of paint that are needed for this project, I found a great way to get the main colors (12 or so) and not have to pay a lot or have a lot of paint left over. The Home Depot has the Behr brand of paints, and
Behr has an 8 oz. sample size for about $3 . Thank you, Home Depot.

Crosby, Addie, Domer, and me late this afternoon. Of course, I took breaks to hang out with Alexa's family's dogs. |
that looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteClantoR, you did an excellent job. I especially like the Tiger (though the monkey and giraffe are pretty cool, too). I look forward to seeing the rest of them.
